Greek Meatballs
Greek Meatballs that are full of flavor and great for an easy dinner. These chicken meatballs are great by themselves and have the best flavor but also good over rice or orzo. Serve with tomato, cucumber, red onion, tzatziki, and feta cheese.

GREEK CHICKEN MEATBALLS
You guys know I love all Greek food and all things meatball so why not a Greek meatball.
If you’re looking for a lighter twist on a classic Mediterranean favorite, Greek chicken meatballs are juicy meatballs, herb-loaded, and incredibly versatile. These meatballs deliver all the bold flavors of traditional keftedes just with leaner protein.

What Are Greek Chicken Meatballs?
Greek chicken meatballs are a modern variation of traditional keftedes, made with ground chicken instead of ground beef or lamb. They feature the same signature ingredients—fresh herbs like fresh parsley, garlic, onion, and oregano—but with a lighter, leaner profile. Some versions of traditional Greek meatballs have fresh mint in them but I’m not a fan.
HOW TO MAKE THESE
- Preheat oven to 400℉ and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

- In a large bowl, add all of the meatball ingredients except the olive oil. Mix gently until combined.

- Scoop meatball mixture into 1½ inch sized meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet. I like to use a cookie scoop. Brush meatballs with the olive oil.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until meatballs reach 165℉ and are no longer pink.

- Serve cooked meatballs warm with diced tomato, cucumber, red onion, feta, and tzatziki. Serve by themselves or in naan, over orzo or rice. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
Tips for Juicy Chicken Meatballs
- Don’t overmix – chicken can become dense if overworked
- Use dark meat chicken if possible for more flavor and moisture
- Grate the onion to add moisture without chunks
