Caprese Salad is made with fresh mozzarella, vine ripe tomatoes, and basil. Drizzled with a balsamic glaze. This simple Italian side salad can be made in 5 minutes!
On a large plate, alternate mozzarella and tomato slices slightly overlapping. Tuck a basil leaf in between each tomato and mozzarella.
Right before serving, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle with the olive oil and balsamic glaze.
Notes
You can also make a non-traditional version of caprese salad with cherry tomatoes sliced in half and mozzarella balls (Ciliegine mozzarella). The amount of ingredients will be the same.
